System Architecture
The Paygo system – a new concept in vehicular travel data collection with low installation and operating costs.

Paygo system collects and manages information on vehicle travel times.
  • The travel meter is installed in the vehicle and collects data on its travel time. The data is transmitted automatically to intermediate stations.
The travel meter is powered by an autonomous energy source.
It runs for about 5 years without maintenance or other handling.
  • Intermediate station – receives the vehicle data and transmit it automatically to the operation center without any intervention.
  • Operation center – receives the data, stores it, and produces usage reports and analysis as needed.
  • Connection to the Internet – Any driver can enter the Internet site with an appropriate code and view his/her travel time data.

System Advantages
  • No connections to the vehicle’s operating system:
    • The travel time meter is mounted inside the vehicle’s baggage compartment. Installation is simple and speedy with no special skills required.
    • The travel time meter does not connect to any of the vehicle’s systems, hence cannot cause any damage. This fact reduces the vehicle owners’ opposition to installation.
    • The vehicle manufacturer’s warranty is not compromised in any way.
    • The energy source is independent and able to function continuously for five years without maintenance.
  • Minimal invasion of privacy:
    • The system does not track the vehicle’s location or the speed at which it is driven.
  • All the data is collected independently without need of the driver’s involvement.
  • Low installation and operating costs.
